3 thrilling episodes of Night Springs 🌃🌒
and
1 terrifying episode of The Lake House! 🏡😱

Using a 3-act structure of with introductions to main characters, followed by gameplay and topping off with karaoke!

I'm learning alot about apologies in different cultures and languages.

And it's an unfortunate truth that it's not universal.

I just enrolled in Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU).

The program ends October 13, 2026.

This gives me time to fillout my update checklist for migration.

Nothing particular brought this up.

Just figured I put it out there.

And it might serve as a good template for meaningful conversation/debate.

It's been a very good policy for me.

There is the caveat that it's important to understand that some debates weren't debates to begin with.

-Private because social pressure and dunking.
-1 on 1 because any more people make a conversation lopsided.
-Doubt is needed change a person's view.
-And managing expectations, because it's unreasonable to expect people to change their mind so quickly. Better to settle with partial wins.

Putting this on the record:

When it comes to debates, I'm open to them.

On the following conditions:

-They are private
-1 on 1
-Both parties have a willingness to express doubt or their own argument
-Acknowledge that people can't/won't change their mind from a singular debate/conversation

The solution is here.

1.It's acknowledgement that the social media platform we dreamed of was never obtainable to begin with.

2.Choose not to be more than just a "regular" at the "cyber cafe"

3.Create distance from the "cyber cafe" because it's not an escape from reality, it's still reality.

But unlike a bar/club/cafe you don't have to drive out or leave your home, it's always with you.

Some make it part of their identity, maybe even co-opt the venue just like real social spaces.

We just thought this idea was a good thing until we learned that we couldn't escape, unless we chose to.

What is essentially needed is a shift is perspective.

Social media is basically a bar/club/cafe, it's cool and fun and the longer you stay the more you see, and you notice your favorite table is one of constellation of tables, and your region is really just a clique in a world sized school.

We have to admit that from the beginning we all had an idealized version of social media that was never obtainable to begin with.

AKA the place where we can connect with other people*

*(that we like)

I think I'm starting a little birthday tradition where I write a letter to my past self and a letter to my future self.

It was a beautiful reflection that in a way feels like casting a magic spell ✨ with powerful implications.

I just wanted to say thank you for everyone who visited my stream to say happy birthday. I was moved and felt appreciated 🎊🥳😭🎂.
