It would be a shame to encourage folks to use banned book lists to do strange things like
-check them out regularly at the library
-request the library order them if they don’t have them
-buy them
-start or support banned book clubs
-organize a banned book kids story time
A real shame

I realized that all my art is ritualized and now that sort of made me freeze up.
Most of the time I have an idea for a piece and am not sure where it is going until I’m pretty much finished. And then I step back and see all that I put into it. It’s all love based on some form.

My cousin in Georgia said the same thing about her electric bill! And her car insurance went up 3x too. It’s scary. I applaud you for saying what’s up. Mutual aid is what is going to get us through 🖤

Carnival in our village a few weeks ago

This time of the year (starting January 1st) almost every night we hear the drums from the local carnival group practicing. Tonight it felt like my heart as I was snuggling my kid to sleep. Coupled with the full moon, it all feels magical 🖤🌙🖤
