Non-witchy books that greatly impacted my practice

Oh I understand, yeah.
For a green waste container like that, I think the spirit would definitely be different. So definitely start with the relationship and see what they are okay with!
Great question! A couple things here
1. For disposing of baneful remnants or working with the spirits for a hex or curse, I'd find one further away
2. It's often illegal to use a companies dumpster for personal use, so be careful with that!
and of course leave an offering or payment like coins, alcohol, something especially nasty they can break down
29.06.2025 16:52 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0theyโre incredibly good at breaking things down.
excess spell materials. baneful leftovers. energy you donโt want sitting around.
you can also ask them to help things rot.
a bad habit. a situation. a relationship. even someoneโs health or finances if youโre working banefully.
witch tip: build a relationship with garbage spirits.
If you have legal access to an industrial dumpster, that's great. If not, even a local trash bin.

Thanks! Always happy when my ramblings are useful ๐
29.06.2025 01:51 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0there are general rules:
a binding? you cut.
a containment? you free.
fire? use water
etc etc
write spells like youโre the one who might have to take them apart later.
because somedayโฆ you might be!!!
if someone comes to you with something nasty stuck to them, youโll already have notes on how to dismantle a similar working.
huge time saver. very helpful. 10/10 recommend.
not because you plan to undo itโthough that happens.
but because knowing how youโd break it helps you understand what you actually built.
AND...
witch tip:
every time you write a new spell in your grimoire or notes, also write how youโd reverse it.
Here's why ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ

The ingredients and tools have to match your intention and manner if doing the spell.
If you make substitutions, they need to be methodical and you might have to change the "how" of the spell.
Because intention won't outweigh the conflicting energy's of mismatched, thoughtless ingredients
To light the candle that way, you need the right tools, like a lighter.
That being said, a pencil CAN be used to light a candle. You just have to use it differently. You have to break it, scrape it, use friction, and get creative.
"Intention is everything in witchcraft"
If you hold a pencil to a candle wick with the intention of lighting it and just hope real hard.... It's not gonna light.
The terror of posting a response video to another witch's video
Like crap... Didn't I cover all the things I had to say and be "nice enough" to not get cancelled ๐
How many times is it appropriate to say "this is my take" without getting annoying
Witch Tip: Simple talismans can be made by folding sheets of aluminum foil into a thin, metal tablet. You can then use a toothpick or pencil to engrave symbols or sigils onto the surface.
#WitchSky #OccultSky
I was never a fan of the wheels either! I like to break the letters down into their components and the try to make the sigil from that.
Bonus points if I can make alchemical/astrological ones (or even something from my own mind that reminds me of the intention)
These are from my perspective.
Which you do depends on the nature of the object and how you work.
I feed my lucky rice. A client bought some and they choose to charge it. This is okay, because it's a different relationship with the object.
It helps with my notes on how to maintain the charm
๐ฝ๏ธ Feeding ๐ฝ๏ธ
Feeding is more animistic in nature and works with the SPIRIT of the item.
"I will give you 3 drops of rum on the first Monday every month for you to continue ____ for me."
If it's adding material, the material isn't crucial to the function because the spirit is handling the "how."
๐ป Refreshing ๐ป
When a ward or magical object has a MATERIAL component that is:
1. Crucial to the function
2. Exhaustive, meaning it needs to be replaced
If a potted plant is my ward and it has a fly trap for extra protection, the trap gets filled with flies and needs to be replaced.
โก Recharging โก
When a magical objects needs more ENERGY you recharge it.
Think of it like filling up gas in a car, it just needs more juice.
This can be through prayer, energy work, the sun, the moon, etc

These are just how I use those terms. It's not universal and I'm sure someone disagrees. But it helps me, and here's how I use these terms ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ

I agree, I think the differentiation between mundane and magic isn't as cut and dry, if even there.
That being said sometimes using scissors to cut a price tag off is just that! To me at least haha
I have dedicated tools for a couple specific things, but in general I feel that.
That would be amazing! I don't think that using tools mundanely "taints" the tools in anyway, you know? Especially if you wanted to consecrate them to bring magical aspects into "mundane" art
Love that! I could definitely see the ideology for both sides, and the traditions I've learned have different views on it
14.06.2025 02:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Very true! There definitely isn't a "right" answer, but I love seeing the difference in practices and cultures.
Personally, the only tools specific to magical are ones dedicated to specific spirits or used for a singular TYPE of working
โ QUESTION โ
I've heard and been taught two ways of thinking; magical tools like scissors, knives, etc that double as household tools should:
1. Be used only for magic
2. Be woven in with daily life
What do you think & why?

Nice to meet you!
Yeah the terminology is super interesting when it comes to workings, witches, and witchcraft.
My friend broke it down between "Divine Magic" and witchcraft. From his cultural perspective I can see that. Doesn't necessarily fit mine, but it's close enough and entirely valid
Exactly! And even if it's something to create a change or affect someone, at most my mentor would call it a "workin'"
