I’ve been writing a character who is trans in a fantasy setting, they’re one of a kind.

I’m straight/cis but have been enjoy writing them because of the challenge. Big inspiration is Beyoncé’s “Sasha Fierce” persona.

For any budding writers afraid of their work… I’ve been writing casually for 10 years.
At one point I had 20k words of a draft, going back to read it I couldn’t stop cringing. Ended up tossing it to start over.

But it’s part of the process. Loving my work these days.

Gotta say, I stopped opening X on the daily thanks for this app. I am feeling far less anxious with Bluesky as my feed full of creatives.

X just kinda devolved into memes and fear mongering. I tried to “train my algorithm” over there with no luck.
