Olivia Blake makes excellent points, if only the leadership were prepared to listen! It's fabulous to see an MP with relevant experience speaking out. It's brave, necessary and shows up the obduracy of the Labour cabinet.

Frances Ryan hits the nail on the head today: "Severely disabled and ill people are going to be starved, isolated and degraded as a result of this policy. No Labour MP who backs it should be forgiven."

This is the DWP news release about the changes to UC and PIP.
Abundantly clear that @uklabour have not spoken to one single person with a disability. I'm too ill to work. What would I use 13 weeks to plan for? How to eat air?

Awful thing for anyone to say but from EHRC commissioner it is unacceptable. Calling rights that have been exercised for decades "perceived rights" is designed to undermine any attempt to fight for those rights. If she has said this about any other minority group, she would be expected to resign.

Stop the cuts before people die.
Say no to the cuts!
Some of the most harmful changes are not part of the consultation. That is why it is vital to take actions like signing petitions, or writing to your MP.

Cuts to disability benefits would be catastrophic. Add your name to show the Government we will not tolerate further cuts. Save our lifeline π’

Kier Starmer is both economically short-sighted and living in a moral vacuum.
PIP is related to the costs of disability, not whether someone is able to work or not.
Honestly fuming about what he is reported as saying π‘
This is a great example of why we can't trust Google's AI results. The plot described is from a different story (Unworthy of the Angel) in the same collection, last published in 2011. Yeah, now imagine you are googling a historical event older than 15 years ago.

I like Season 2, and don't fully understand the dislike
Even the James subplot - it's like a bad soap but Twin Peaks always made room for that type of absurdity. I'm currently doing a rewatch, so I'll see how I find it this time.

Mandelson will have to work with the US administration, so I understand (but dislike) the backtracking of the "danger to the world" comments, but, @teamlabouruk.bsky.social can we cut spreading blatant lies about the type of person Trump clearly is? It just makes Mandelson appear inept.

This commentary is a slap in the face to so many, and is so blatantly false. Did E Jean Carroll find Trump to be a "nice person"?

After answering a question about the appointment, Mandelson went on to call DT a "nice person" and a "fair minded person". Is this how anyone should describe a rapist, insurrectionist and convicted felon?

Okay, I very grudgingly understand why #Labour figures have backtracked on previous comments about Donald Trump, but Peter Mandelson's utter obsequiousness is disgusting. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
