Totally. And I used to do that, but these days I mostly just lurk. And that’s not the same as engaging in community, which is what I want.

I used to belong to communities that were centered around my work - theater, and then libraries. Now that I don’t participate in those communities much (or at all), I feel a little lost. I’m curious: what have others done to build relationships and community for themselves?

I never got the hang of Twitter, so I'm not sure what I'm doing here beyond abject rage at certain unnamed alternatives. That being said, this "fun" thing sounds like it might be a good time. Has anybody here had it before? What's it like?
