We homeschool for similar reasons. They really wanted to keep my oldest but would hand him a tablet and stick him in a corner or send him off to another teacher to "deal with" when he didn’t act like everyone else. Best thing we ever did honestly. Wanted his attendance but could be bothered to help.

It's a new day, and even though it's 97 degrees outside I am finishing all my half finished sweater projects! Some I've made myself, some I've saved from landfills and repaired/scrapped. All of them need to be finished! My crochet WIPs are slowly getting handled!
