Sunday night dinner will be a piece of chicken fried steak short tonight due to a sneaky spaniel. He is unrepentant and says we always forget to get him a plate of food at dinner so he took matters into his own paws.

My chin has decided it needs to break out in huge, painful zits because of my stupid perimenopausal hormones. It really does suck.

I'm watching the new Superman and my first thought is James Gunn is obviously a dog owner. I know people talk about their dogs being sweet to them when they're sick, but mine is much more likely to jump on me and try to get me to play with him just like Krypto.

Apparently, one study, said eating 30 different plants a week is really good for the gut microbiome. I always take health/diet studies with a grain of salt because they often aren't great, but this seems like it's not going to hurt anything even if it doesn't help as much as the study says.

Sometimes I wish I had written down the names of random internet people I've argued with online (I know, I'm getting better at not doing that) just so I could say I told you so. I will probably never get past the desire to say told ya so.

I use magnesium lotion (and pills). I really haven't been able to figure out if it is the magnesium or the fact that the lotion is thicker than all my other lotions so I have to massage it in more, but it does help some. I also have had less joint/muscle pain since taking the pills.

Also, dropped out of my first four year college within about 3 months.

I dropped out with like 2 classes left to get my degree. Finally went back years later and one of those classes was no longer required and another class counted towards my last requirement. So I got a degree like 10 years after I last stepped foot in class. Never actually diagnosed but pretty sure.

Friend: Eww, chips are so gross! You shouldn't be eating that ultra-processed stuff.

Me: It literally has 3 ingredients- potatoes, oil, and salt. None of the preservatives, additives, or food colorings you think are so bad.

Her: Well, you still couldn't pay me to eat them.
