Die Forschungseinheit Waldböden und Biogeochemie, welche die Auswirkungen von Umweltveränderungen auf die Funktionen und Eigenschaften von Böden sowie biogeochemische Prozesse in Ökosystemen untersucht, offeriert ab April 2025 eine Tenure Track Stelle als Wissenschaftliche/-n Mitarbeiter/-in Bodenfunktionen 80-100% (w/m/d) Sie forschen im Bereich der Bewertung von Bodenfunktionen unter dem Einfluss globaler Veränderungen und Bewirtschaftung mit primärem Schwerpunkt auf Waldböden und einer potenziellen Erweiterung auf urbane Ökosysteme. Dafür werben Sie erfolgreich Drittmittel ein und publizieren Ihre Ergebnisse in internationalen wissenschaftlichen und praxisorientierten Zeitschriften. Sie unterhalten die bestehende Bodendatenbank der WSL und das damit verknüpfte Bodenarchiv als Grundlagen zur Bearbeitung standortsrelevanter Fragestellungen im Schweizer Wald. Diese Daten nutzen Sie in Ihrer Forschung und Expertentätigkeit und setzen sie in Wert. Sie betreiben Expertentätigkeit und Lehre auf den Stufen Forstpraxis, Fachhochschule und Hochschule in den Bereichen Feldbodenkunde, Bodenfunktionsbewertung und Bodenschutz. Die Koordination der Arbeitseinsätze im bodenchemischen Labor der Forschungseinheit gehört ebenso zu Ihren Aufgaben. Sie verfügen über einen Doktoratsabschluss im Gebiet Umweltwissenschaften sowie eine erfolgreiche wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit im Bereich Bodenfunktionen. Sie haben erwiesene Kompetenzen in Feldbodenkunde, bodenchemischen Methoden sowie in Data Mining und Statistik. Als ausgesprochene/-n Teamplayer/-in mit guten Kommunikationseigenschaften fühlen Sie sich wohl bei der Mitwirkung in transdisziplinären Projekten, bei der Expertentätigkeit und Lehre auf unterschiedlichen Stufen sowie in Ihrer zentralen Rolle innerhalb der Forschungseinheit. Für die Umsetzungstätigkeit in der Praxis sprechen Sie mindestens eine Landessprache fliessend.
