There are no excuses whatsoever for what racist, white, American MPs did in setting up an ambush for Black GIs outside that pub in Bamber Bridge. There's less than none for, after being confronted by British civilians, on British land, deciding to escalate and open a gun battle in a British town.

DESPITE the negotiations, and orders from the highest diplomatic levels, and direct orders from both governments, some senior US Officers *still* approached local town leaders directly to request segregation. Several towns responded by declaring pubs segregated - to Black GIs Only.

This video ( youtu.be/yxHwdjV-NWQ?... ) at the timestamp used for my link, includes a sample of one of the films that were presented to US troops on arrival in the UK. So they had been informed, and warned, NOT to behave the way they went on to behave.

The US had formally requested the British Govt to impose segregation for them, and had been politely, but very firmly, refused. US forces were pre-warned NOT to behave like at home, since the UK had many 'coloured' soldiers and citizens who were not American at all.

What a lot of the more recent YouTube channels miss about the situation is that EXTENSIVE briefings and propaganda films were given to US soldiers (and officers) reminding them that Britain did NOT follow segregation, nor allow it. (But had no authority 'on base' in US camps).

Not only did he incite insurrection at the end of that first term, he laughed at all Americans by openly showing his support for it with mass pardons at the start of his second term.
To which the only good question is: "What constitution? What 'checks and balances'?" because they have done NOTHING.

And right after that, he had riot police use tear gas to *attack* peaceful protestors just to clear the streets for him to take a photo op with an upside-down bible at Lafayette Square in breach of first amendment rights of freedom of assembly. And was let get away with it.

During the George Floyd Protests in 2020 Trump delivered a speech in which he urged the governors of U.S. states to quell violent protests by using the National Guard to "dominate the streets," or he would otherwise "deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem."

The man openly flaunted the constitution to withhold congressionally granted aid to Ukraine, without due authority, and not for matters of security, but solely, on his own say-so, to try to manufacture dirt on the son of a PERSONAL rival - Hunter Biden. He bent the constitution over and f*cked it.

The biggest issue with relying on people being loyal to the Constitution rather than to POTUS or the Commander in Chief personally is that through failure to impeach Trump in his first term, the system, the failure of Government, already showed Trump to be above the Constitution.

With the 4th Amendment, and almost all of 'common law' making clear that Police officers (and similar) must clearly identify themselves, surely someone needs to challenge for a ruling in the Supreme Court that facemasks clearly go against the spirit of the law?
