that's the core contradiction of the current administration: they want "America first" but are actively dismantling the structures that are responsible for our strength

Hard to imagine we would win, when Trump just eliminated a quarter of NASA staff and appointed a reality TV star who's also secretary of transportation to lead us. (But also: who even cares. Should be sending robots instead. Too bad that's delayed years thanks to disastrous private partnerships)
