Sad. I spent a couple of hours in the Dubai Airport once. It is a "silent airport": There are no routine announcements. It is blissful.

Someone's got to step back and say, "Nope, this is not what humans are for."

I'm a regular on @amtrak.com between New York and Boston. What ought to be a pleasant trip is marred by incessant, booming announcements by the conductors. I asked one about it today. He said they have to be loud because people wear headphones and otherwise wouldn't hear them. Help!

My @amtrak.com train is delayed. As if to demonstrate the economic value destroyed by such delays (by wasting my time on this task), I built a model to estimate the business value lost each year by Amtrak delays and cancelations. Conservatively: $240 million/year.

Anyone have a better estimate?

Where is the logical flaw? I didn't see it.
