I'm playing the hits tonight with the Last Nites (trio version) at the Gin Mill on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Classic rock, oldies, and a few contemporary tunes too from 9pm to midnight.

Just want to mention one even older - Pee Wee Russell (1906). Not bebop generation, obviously, but he was down with bebop and he recorded tunes by Coltrane and Ornette.
