I don't think the "Einstein" or other AI replacing the important steps of learning, esp in higher ed, would be posing quite the challenge it is right now if students hadn't been sent the message their entire lives that the point of college is to get good grades and a high paying job, not to learn.

Funny you write that. I'm currently working on the resurrected 305. I.D. in Italy. It had to surrender significant units to be sent east just as the Allies were landing at Salerno & it was carrying out Operation Axis. Germany simply couldn't square the demands of the east with the Mediterranean.

That a major political party has accepted that their power rests in part on the support of white supremacists among their voting base, and therefore regards it as bad politics to assert any moral objectivity, is the most telling part of the last decade.

Yes & I wish players and especially teams in American professional sports would simply not play games as a response to the federal government's war on Minneapolis and threats to Greenland. The NBA did this several years ago, but cancelling some NFL playoff games would get people's attention.
