I have run into issues with too many images now being an issue with the pythonanywhere site- although that could be fixed I think. Django is relatively easy to deploy on pythonanywhere although it does depend on the database used I think.

Iβm not an expert- so this may not be useful- but as part of my PhD Iβm using Django to make my site- the uni deployed it: kuden.fabrics.anu.edu.au, but for testing I used pythonanywhere. Which is free for small sites.

Two of the universities in Canberra Australia put these types of banners in our uni emails automatically- it was really annoying when you were having an email chain conversation with someone from the other uni - it looked like a weird competition.

Hey #StatsSky, what are you favorite papers to cite when you need to justify something that is obvious (I once had a reviewer ask we justify the use of logistic regression on a binary outcome)
or when you need to push-back on silly reviewer requests (e.g., asking for p-values in table 1)?

An honor, a feather. I was invited to Edinburgh to give the UoE Center for Digital Culture & Society 2024 Annual Lecture. Will hector against "best" practices and standards developed in the Atlantic North when those don't align with the Global South. Register here: www.cdcs.ed.ac.uk/events/annua...

sailaufilm.com Iβm not sure if itβs streaming yet. Iβve just started Thor Jensenβs book about the voyage- itβs on Kindle Unlimited but the doc featured the 3 Milne Bay sailors and their views were the best.

Bright pink, green and purple minerals- pyroxenes, in a dark clay matrix.
Pyroxenes in PPL light, they appear very pale yellow-green, with angular shapes and cleavage lines.
My achievement for the month, getting the microscope camera software working again (or rather getting uni IT to get it working again). I took a photo of a pyroxenic placer temper, from a sherd found in Vanua Levu, to celebrate.
