At Rush Green Romford at the traffic light near the YMCA this Great white Egret was feeding in the river Rom. Urban birding at its best. #Essexbirding managed to iPhone it too

Out this morning with the trainee ringing 2 broods of Stock Dove whilst monitoring Tawny Owls boxes under licence. Then a walk along the Thames enjoying Whimbrel, Barwits, Avocet, Blackwit, Oystercatcher and Redshank #essexbiding

Kicked off with a singing Willow Warbler in the garden & the 1st Swallows of the year over (3) and ended the day with a Herring Gull #essexbirding

5 Whitethroat, 4 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaff , Reed Warbler ringed this morning with PH #essexbirding

Ingrebourne valley : 2 Cuckoo this evening on the patch #essexbirding

Still low numbers yesterday with just 5 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, Rt Willow Warbler, Chaffinch, Song Thrush were best. Just 1 Swallow over #ringing

Good views of Shorelark at Holkham gap again this afternoon #Norfolkbirding

Cracking views of 4 Shorelark at Holkham gap today also Spoonbill, Red kite and glorious weather throughout the afternoon.

Out on the boat yesterday helping the trainees monitoring Herons and colour ringing. We managed to ring a sample of the 17 pairs on the island.

After a 4 hour wait the American Yellow Warbler showed well for the crowds at New Hythe Kent today. Also 2 Firecrest #Ukbirding
