Perhaps they're telling you to get off your ass & pick them! 😉 For years, I blamed the raccoons for knocking all the apples off my 2 apple trees. Then I realised they're Granny Smiths 🙄. I just finished picking the remaining ones & am making cider with the windfalls.

I am blessed beyond measure to be 68 & still have both parents still alive. The reality of our collective mortalness will one day be painfully revealed to me... I'm going to need a lifeboat full of people to remind me that there is still land.

The silver lining to having a very big lifeboat is not having to vote anyone off!!

One can be lean & mean on the outside & still have crunchy blood vessels on the inside. Fact is, tall, short, thick or thin, at 37 C & 100% RH sweat can't evaporate effectively enough to cool the body. Survival time varies, but it is limited to hours, not days.
