Every year on October 31, millions of people celebrate. Why? Because that was the day in 2007 that Burnout Paradise went gold, and the gold master gave us the original US release of the game on PS3 and the US and UK releases on 360. Truly a night to remember.

New World is the one, from Amazon. Those GPUs died because they were defective, but it's still a good idea to have a framerate cap to lower utilization and prevent coil whine.

It isn't a separate game so much as it is a first-party mod of Glacier. Alas, nobody in the community seemed to understand when I told them that, so Glacier itself has no speedrun category. It's worth checking out though.

I got Glacier free with a t-shirt when I was a kid. It's an early Team6 game, not as bad as you'd think, but still bad. 10 years ago I checked YT: no videos at all. I recorded the whole game (it's short), made a disc image, and uploaded both. Team6 disowned it a few years ago btw.

The finishes are unused in the vanilla game, which is why it doesn't unlock them after repairing the car. The way I usually unlock them is to add them to Profile 1.7's entitlements array, but 1.0's cars array should work too, just don't use 1.9's since there isn't enough space there.

If it's still crashing with no other changes than these, there's likely something else wrong with either the save or the VehicleList. Crashing when changing vehicles usually happens if there's a vehicle in the save that isn't in the VehicleList.

To get online cars offline (I assume this is what you mean) go to Profile 1.3>Cars and change the unlock type to Gift. They should already be there. To add the Street Rod, go to Profile 1.9>Cars, add an entry, and set that as the vehicle (as an Island Unlock).
