FLOW looks interesting from the screenshots and the description, but I heard literally nothing about the game - only 2 reviews, zero social presence other than a few YT shorts, nothing else. I haven't tried it, at least not yet.

In the world of Wangan Trial, COVID-19 didn't happen.

Apparently a combination of two discs may be juuuuuust too big to fit within 99 minutes too, would need the format to be changed to a GD-ROM 😭

Disc 1 has MOVIE.STM, Disc 2 has MOVIE2.STM, and the remaining files are duplicates, including the executable - so a combined disc (a-la Gran Turismo 2) should in theory be trivial!

The soundtrack is sick tho

I was curious to see why Wangan Trial on the PS1 has two discs, and now I know - it has a story mode with FMVs!

The situation in San Andreas is even more interesting, as fixing the flare scaling also makes the sun more intense at high resolutions! This means I can now remove the "sun scaling hack" introduced in SP in 2014, as back then I thought the sun is dimmer because of higher draw distance.

Corona flares is yet another thing that does not scale to resolution in GTA, and affects all three games in the trilogy! This explains why the sun and emergency vehicle sirens felt "downgraded" on PC when compared to the PS2.

Highway Warriors Remastered from Jreo is surprisingly fun: cel-shaded art style is on point, driving physics resemble the first TXR, and you get to race several rivals throughout the three courses set on highways.
AI isn't the best and the game is short, but it's also free.

The next update of SilentPatch for GTA III will "complete" a half-finished feature where subtitles *attempted* to give space for a radar. It didn't work right, and instead made subtitles off-center even in cutscenes. SP backports the feature from Vice City, so subtitles look good in both cases.

Anyone tried Star Drift Evolution? Is it worth a shot?

Yakuza 0 on PC doesn't scale the Dream Machine text to resolution, at 1080p I never noticed that but at 4K they're quite tiny 🙃

I was reminded of Gearhead Garage Adventure by Ratloop, a cancelled GBA adaptation of Gearhead Garage that they published a demo of online - but what I didn't realize before is that apparently the game was completed, and never published? I thought they only had the demo 😭

And it's been published by the developers for free in its unfinished state! Would have loved to play the whole thing if finished tbh
