1/ A longtime Wired editor just wrote a mush-brained essay about how he totally missed the political rot of Silicon Valley (& still doesn't get it).
But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that
omg.

24.09.2025 13:54 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0That's great! I have been wanting to begin learning bodhrán. I recently picked up mandolin (and octave) and its great.
Too bad I will not be near! My partner and I are in London for a couple days, then straight to see my family in Armagh.
Maybe next time.
Can't stop thinking about and listening to Tomohiko Sagae.

23.11.2024 02:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The problem with pieces like this, which are countless, is the prevailing media assumption that left-of-center Americans need constant corrective instruction about how to be in and engage with the world, whereas right-of-center Americans are simply to be observed in awe, like rainbows or mountains.

20.11.2024 21:09 — 👍 4 🔁 2 💬 0 📌 1Announcing a forthcoming book of writings on/about/astride/within John Trefry's book MASSIVE.
DECAPITATING MASSIVE will feature texts from Logan Berry, Mike Corrao, Charlene Elsby, Mike Kleine, Grant Maierhofer, AV Marraccini, and Glenn S. Ritchey III.
MASSIVE is out on December 2.
(the problem with a lot of genre fiction is that readers want to be rewarded for having the "right" idea, and any story that doesn't EXPLICITLY pat them on the head for being such smart little readers makes them feel scared and uncomfortable and they don't like that)
