I think it’s great you contributed in your own little way, and can appreciate the love people have for so many of these dubs, old and new, even while acknowledging that they aren’t for you! I love seeing all the different dubs in the quotes and replies that resonated and are remembered by people.

same spirit and artistic intent of the Japanese track, in their own wonderful way. I’m glad in this day and age, most people see the beauty in that, and can appreciate English dubs old and new, and how far they’ve come.

the Japanese is the original audio track and will always artistically define the show in so many ways. But the people who make and work on these English dubs that are adored by so many absolutely pour their hearts and souls into the work they do and it so clearly shows with how they capture that -

Very happy to hear. The different pronunciation for Liberl and Zin made me a bit sad but the new dub seems like it knocks it outta the park everywhere else.

Daybreak 2 was honestly like, outside of Act 3 being very very silly, a nice way to let some of the Calvard characters (and assets) breathe a little more! Daybreak 1 was absolutely stuffed to bursting with so much stuff, that I didn't mind getting to slow down a little and enjoy it all more with 2.

Mario Wonder and Xeno 3 have both gotten some kind of update for Switch 2 at least, but who knows if it’ll be the only one?

Completely agree, my first day with the Switch 2 I didn’t even touch Mario Kart. I ran and flew around in Pokemon Violet just in pure awe that it was real

The discourse around Marie and Golden additions in general means you'd legit get people rejoicing ahaha. I can get people hating some things about it, but Golden had so many good QoL's and so many charming new additions man.

It's very obvious what they've (Mihoyo) chosen to do as well. All the new recast English VA's are English speaking Japan based actors, the new VA Jacob Takanashi thanked the studio "SIDE Tokyo" for the work. They're just replacing the US VAs who strike completely and going with cheaper options.
