I'm also super excited to announce that I'll be starting a postdoc with Joe Parker at Caltech this fall, where I'll be studying the mechanisms of convergent defense gland evolution in rove beetles. 🪲 Can't wait to get my hands dirty with some single cell sequencing

Thanks also to my lab mate Santi for 7 years (and counting) of friendship and collaboration. Look out for our paper on how genotype-phenotype maps shape the evolution of protein phenotypes, coming soon!

It's been over a month now, but... I defended my dissertation! Big thanks to my advisor @joethorntonlab.bsky.social for all the mentorship over the years, and to my family for coming out to support me ❤️
