and our members were so supportive and mostly understanding. We got smarter, got better tech, better and bigger cars, did some cool partnerships and more people discovered they could live with #one car less.

It's funny explaining how we began - the very basic technology - a hotel booking system and in-car tech talking to each other. 24 digits to key into old style phones if we needed to trouble shoot, thank you for giving us a go! We learned so much.

It was a slog convincing local & central Government that not everyone wants to own a car. So grateful to all the early adopters, the people who were living without a car and only occasionally needed one and loved the choice we offered.

I still really believe there is a place for them! We need for connection, ways to understand each other, learn. When local papers were good say 20 years ago they did a terrific job of building community! hence the name community newspapers!

Inspired by a friend who urged us to post more flower photos as an antidote to all that is wrong in the world, I give Winter Flowers #1: Luculia pinceana 'Fragrant Cloud'. Strongly perfumed but also frost tender.
