everyone in fandom should be held to a certain standard of fandom etiquette, despite them being your friend. educate your friends, stop supporting the friends that aren’t positive and respectful in this space, and please don’t have double standards 🤍

And that’s not meant as pressure in any way, of course! I’ll just never forget the moment I realized what a change I felt, doing something stupidly mundane, but it was literally like a fanfic moment. “Oh.. OH.” My brain was quiet for the first time in my life, and I cried. That was worth everything.

From experience, yes. Absolutely, yes. It took a toll on me to realize I could have had this help for YEARS if only the right people had listened or paid attention. But don’t let the fear keep you from the possibility of helping yourself, because when I tell you, the RELIEF is near overwhelming.

I think a lot of us are feeling this way, and having to admit that we’re not doing as well as we’re trying to be. It doesn’t alleviate the feeling, but I hope it helps to know you’re not alone in it.
