Couldn't decide on a detail for a special set of scrolls. Down to the wire waiting for it to click into place. Finally just put all the ideas in one place and stared at them for 20 minutes on my lunch break. And voila...something did in fact finally click into place. 🙈🤷🏼‍♀️

Complete Knowne World Squire's Tournament scroll from War of the Phoenix III. 19 Squires entered and Relfaine from Artemisia (I think) is who won. 40 Knights were on site to witness the tourney and sign the scroll.

This was handed off to the sponsors of the tournament today. Learned about a million things on this one. Happy with it though. It'll be signed by the Chivalry in attendance to the tournament, and the winner's name will be penned in.

People will never need to know all the things you see wrong with your art. They aren't in your brain. You aren't obligated to tell them.

They're just gonna think it's cool af. So let them believe that and accept the compliments without contradiction.

Sometimes you gotta play with a different medium to get your mind around a concept.

1st time attempting clouds. Used chalk pastels. It was fun and I learned a bunch. Gonna do one more before actually painting them behind Michael.

Sometimes I have to remember that most people are gonna look at a piece of art I create and think 'damn, that's fucking cool.' They aren't gonna see the 100 things I dislike about it...because thankfully they aren't in my brain and I don't have to tell them.

Progress. I stayed off socials most of yesterday for reasons, and got a good amount done. A bunch of details still to add to the belt and the pillars, but I'm happy with where it's headed for the most part.

A rather rugged Saint Michael has landed on the Squires Tournament scroll. Lots more details to add to the belt, heraldry shields, and clouds around Michael. Then paint, and words.

Why Michael? It's being hosted by the Knights of Saint Michael, so seemed appropriate.

Took 100 dinosaurs and 100 owls to Central War Practice today. This is all that came home. War Practice Buddies were a hit! I have another idea for Northern War Practice. All the silliness and stardust and joy today in Atenveldt.

Preparing the largest scroll I've ever done at 20inx24in. Commissioned Squires Tournament scroll for War of the Phoenix.

I need to actually pull the paper back out and put the edge tape on, but I got the board prepped and the paper cut and that's most of the prep.

Archery Target for War of the Phoenix 2025.

This year's theme is Forged in Flames and so all of the archery targets have some sort of flame or fire element. I chose to paint the fire imps.

Acrylic on cotton (I think).
