I think you'd be surprised. I knew 4 or 5 people early on who were against Covid vaccines that were all nurses. Talking, like, mid-2021, maybe a bit into the fall.

Target also takes employees they want to fire, and turns them into criminals by filing trumped-up charges with local police. They did it to my adult son, and he relayed that he was far from the only one. I'm talking charges of theft when employees purchase damaged goods at discount prices.

but the reason that he is doing all of this is that if he is able to scapegoat various communities by starving them, by making sure their basic needs are not met, it gives him the excuse he needs to roll tanks. (9/9)

He pardons people who are part of his private goon squad. This is not someone who hates crime, this is someone who loves crime, when it's done for his benefit,

There's no question in my mind that Donald Trump is very, very sad today that we don't have more crime, and he's trying to foment it, and he's trying to do it, not because he's opposed to crime, he commits crimes all the time himself. He pardons people for money.

So you have a President who is very actively hollering that we have a crime crisis when we do not, but he's wishing it into being by cutting access for people who need government to help them to meet their basic needs.

you are at war with all kinds of programming that gives people housing, gives people food, you're going to stir up crime. The countries that meet people's basic needs have less crime, in general, and there are very few exceptions to that.

When you're doing that, you're taking it away from broke people. When you have working people who are getting notices in the mail that tell them that they'll be paying twice as much for their health insurance, when you're having people who will be off of their health insurance,

basically doing everything he possibly could to undermine [crime] prevention. When you are shifting, in the last 3 months, wealth to the wealthy, and we have seen a bigger improvement in the wealth of the top 10% of people, meaning top 10% economically.

I just transcribed a bit from the appearance of @dalarrykrasner.bsky.social on the podcast by @jeffasher.bsky.social , and he absolutely pulled no punches:

Some of the worst news is that the President of the United States -- I hate to have to call him that, but I guess he is that --

The Christian right for decades has fear-mongered that federal agents (under Dem presidents) would "criminalize" Christianity and literally prevent them from worshipping.

Now that Trump's stormtroopers are doing it ... crickets

To be fair, when Matt presented, it was ABOUT how the fans felt about the Phillies, so the booing really just added to the ambience. I could smell the cheesesteaks.

Haha, actually, the husky is a mom herself. Got her from a rescue and she came "pre-loaded." Luckily, the rescue helped us home all the puppies and we kept the mom.

Something has been bothering me about these Ring camera ads ... They are now selling products with 4-frickin-K cameras in them, but they also want us to believe that it's the AI that makes their products better. Not every improvement is attributable to AI, arseholes. @edzitron.com

Also, just like the Manfred Man, one dude in the outfield would apply to both teams. Sure, the visiting team would score 8 or 9 runs, but what would the home team do? Also, would put more emphasis on a strikeout-oriented pitcher.

I would subtract one at a time, and I wouldn't start until the 11th at least

11.10.2025 12:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Another idea would be to subtract fielders instead of adding runners. You'd still have to earn your bases, but they would get much easier to earn.

I seriously don't care where it came from. It's dumb. For a whole game, you gotta earn every 90 feet, except if we have a tie and the kids gotta get to bed, then we just give them away.

11.10.2025 06:16 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I did research on this during the pandemic .... Slightly more than 99% of games in 1916-2019 ended by the 13th inning. So if you just called a tie after 13, you'd be talking 1-2 games per team per year. And think of the extra strategies if you knew for sure which inning was going to end the game!
