And you get to change it. You get to build values that actually belong to you and work for you.

When you step back and really look at it, you might realize the value itself doesnβt even fit you anymore β maybe it never did.
Ever notice how your crisis is someone elseβs βwhateverβ?
β
Thatβs usually because your values donβt line up. But hereβs the thingβsometimes the value youβre protecting so fiercely wasnβt something you even consciously chose.

That moment belongs to them because you were willing to share it.
Why share my story? Who cares what I have to say? β
The person who feels desperately alone right now.
The one aching to believe theyβre not broken. β
Then they read your words and see themselves in your story. β
They feel understood.
Looking at the wallpaper on my phone.
Noticing bits of color Iβd never seen before.
Why that shade? Why in that way?
Turns out, stains on the glass can be deceiving.
I've been anxious since conception. My mom joked that I was so active in her belly she thought I was going to reach out and wave. And I've been a ball of nerves ever since. I'd love to find out if something similar is true for me.

Having enough curiosity to overcome inflexibility
is how you realize the edge of your comfort zone
was never the edge of your life.
I've been called rude or impatient when making this request.
What they donβt see is that my focus is in survival mode. Iβm not trying to rush themβ¦ Iβm fighting to stay with them.
It's so hard to maintain our focus when listening to someone - even if we're enjoying the conversation.
That's ADHD for ya. I often ask others to cut to the chase because my brain doesn't have the energy to hang in there for the whole story or explaination.
I can tell when Iβve hit my saturation point, because Iβll be in the middle of something and suddenly become foggy. Not gradually, in an instant. - know what I meanβ¦

She can't wait to kiss me in the morning,
and when its time for work she snuggles against me as close as she can and falls back to sleep.
So I drank some caffeine to help me through the afternoon. I clearly got the CIA grade that ain't designed to quit.
