The widescreen support makes those long jumps over wide pits much less scary, of course! And enemies don't startle you as much when you see them coming thanks to the longer field of view.

If you register the floppy version with XWVM and launch that one, you will get the totally flat-shaded models that come with that version.
The problem is that the floppy version doesn't have sound effects, voiced briefings, bonus missions, etc. It's a compromise.

I mostly play with mouse. There is a "Turn to Face Target" key that makes mouse control very pleasant.

And by no means I am implying that it wasn't done as you describe because, ideed, if we pause the video we can see the white support that is joining the 9 and the 3 foam numbers even when the numbers are seen in front of the first car.

That is why I asked how subtitles used to be done back then, because to me it doesn't feel more complicated than that.

Where I live, Finland, the crows are constantly hurrying hedgehogs, squirrels, and cats off the roads all the time. Our guess is that they do it to keep them from being hit by cars.

The game has very uneven difficulty.
Some Historical and Tour 1 missions in the first game are harder than the rest of the game, or the entire TIE Fighter sequel.

Still, by principle, I oppose to anything AI that might be ethically questionable. Although I think Copilot et al are just replacing searches on Stackoverflow, and not replacing programmers, in my experience.
