Don't forget that to mark our National Day of Prayer for Peace in the Holy Land, St Anthony's church will be open from 5pm this evening (Tuesday 7th) with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Holy Rosary on the hour, and 7pm Mass with novena of St Anthony. Everyone is most welcome to come along🙏

A reminder to current and potential Ministers of Welcome that we'll be meeting this evening (Thursday 2nd October) from 7-8pm at St Anthony's to refresh the ministry: to consider the importance of the minister of welcome, to welcome new ministers, and to discuss the duties involved in the role.

Would you like to know more about the Catholic faith, perhaps with a view to becoming a Catholic yourself? Come along tomorrow (Thursday) at 7pm in St Mark's house (G73 4DA): you'll discover what's involved, meet the team, & hear from others who have gone through the process in previous years.

We're recruiting for new altar servers at St Mark's! All P5 and above - no matter which school you attend - are welcome to come along. Training will take place this Thursday 18th September at 3.15-4pm at St Mark's church. There is an alternative session next Wednesday 24th Sept at 3.15.

Several of our young parishioners at @sl-trinityhs.bsky.social @trinity-slc-re.bsky.social & Fr Stephen were privileged to join Aid to the Church in Need Scotland Youth Rally yesterday, featuring the Aberdeen African Choir, Fr James (the TikTok priest), & the testimony of a North Korean defector.

Our parish S6 Caritas Award Justice and Peace project kicked off last night with an introduction to J & P and #catholicsocialteaching led by our friend Anne Marie Clements from Justice & Peace Scotland. Thanks to all who came along and who engaged so enthusiastically. Next meeting Thursday 11th Sept

As we heed Pope Leo's call for a day of fasting and prayer for peace, we warmly invite you to the Mass for the apostolate of the Queenship of Our Lady at St Anthony's tomorrow, Friday 22nd August with the Rosary at 7:00pm and Mass at 7:30pm. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Toal. All welcome 🙏

Little Miracles is back! Our local group for babies & toddlers starts back tomorrow Thursday 21st August from 10am—
11.30am at St Mark’s Hall. With refreshments, lots of toys and games, a cosy corner with story readings, and our trademark fun with bubbles, songs and the parachute. All welcome 🌞🌞

St Anthony's is looking stunning ahead of the St.Mary's Syro-Malabar Catholic Mission Feast Day of the Assumption of Our Lady into heaven tomorrow (Sunday). All parishioners are most welcome to join the procession around the church grounds from approx 2.30/2.45pm, which is absolutely spectacular. 🙏

Fr Stephen was very honoured to begin the 9 days of prayer in preparation for the Assumption, the annual feast of the St.Mary's Syro-Malabar Mission, by blessing and raising the banner of Our Lady, and preaching at the Mass presided by Fr Matthew, the diocesan chancellor 🙏 @sl-trinityhs.bsky.social

This evening (Friday) at 5pm at St Anthony's, Fr Stephen will bless and hoist the Festal Banner, beginning 9 days of celebration leading up to the Feast Day of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Mission on 10th Aug. All parishioners are most welcome to join Fr Stephen and the Syro-Malabar mission 🙏

We've had such a lovely day at Carfin Grotto for our Jubilee parish day, which coincided with the #jubilee for Priests in Motherwell Diocese on this Solemnity of the #sacredheart. Thanks to everyone, especially at the Grotto and Café Bernadette for hosting us and making us feel so welcome.

Big day out out Carfin Grotto ! Today is our parish day, with many parishioners travelling by minibus or joining us by car. We'll be praying for the priests and deacons of Motherwell Diocese at the 1pm Mass, on this Day of Sanctification of Priests.
