In a study of 682 MS patients, 35% reported that MS negatively impacted their work output. Patients most frequently identified fatigue, a common symptom of MS, as responsible for a reduction in productivity.

Cellular deterioration in the brain begins long before someone with Alzheimer’s shows symptoms. OMRF scientist, Dr. Tommy Lewis, backed by a new National Institutes of Health grant, will explore whether this deterioration can be stopped. 🧠

Last year, we shared Kelsey D'Emilio's story and how OMRF helped her reclaim her life from multiple sclerosis. Because of the care she received at OMRF, she was able to add a beautiful daughter to her family.

In this study, Dr. Maria Narozna, a postdoctoral researcher in Gorbsky’s lab, found a surprising origin to a genetic disorder called trisomy 12, which occurs when there’s an extra copy of the 12th chromosome.
