Re Van Halen, their first 4 albums are consecutive home runs, certainly more densely packed with fine tunes than the AC/DC albums you’ve noted.
Diver Down was a place holding album, still with some bangers, and finally we have 1984. So- they didn’t quite best Zeppelin, but they did best AC/DC.
