We’re exploring ways to improve how Markdown is rendered in our components during streaming.

• Complete partial syntax when possible (bold, links, table headers, …)
• Buffer incomplete elements (partial images, broken emojis, …)

This number (20 million+ users using GH Copilot) is wild because… most estimates put the number of all professional software developers in the world somewhere between 20-30 million.

GitHub Copilot either is getting ~100% adoption (unlikely) or it’s expanding the dev pool (likely!)

I eventually came across `shadow-selection-polyfill` which made it work consistently in my project with Shadow DOM: github.com/GoogleChrome...

It turns out Firefox can pierce the Shadow DOM to access the selection but Chrome will not. It's a bit of a mess trying to make it work in multiple browsers.

It sometimes feels like browsers are all behaving similarly these days and it feels great.
Today, however I had to deal with `getSelection()` and learned that the implementation is widely different across browsers, mainly when dealing with Shadow DOM.

A sad and troubling impression from #jsnation and #reactsummit was that a huge fraction of the frontend community is happy to drink at the nazi bar. They don't even seem to feel embarrassed about posting on xitter. 🤦🤦🤦

And yet, at the same time, it felt encouraging that Bluesky was being used and promoted.
Especially for JS Nation, I saw a lot of 🦋 logo on slides and it was great to see.
