I'd suggest you to put the vertical line little bit closer to arrow for the first option (like on the picture). At least I've only seen it like this on my keyboards.
I personally think tab symbol looks more interesting than a word :D

Even if it's just a bunch of random shapes, it looks similar to graphic glitches. Like camera noises of something like that
