Thank you for this, I've just felt bad when people around me are getting books published while I haven't been able to hold a job for longer than a year on average.

Truth to this, I started in one of my passions, the auto industry a few years ago, and the novelty is well worn off by now. I'm fairly certain this current job will be my last in the car world.

Some things really are better kept as a hobby.

See, in my case, it's more related to being disabled and having a later start in life than others, my first real paying job was at 22 or 24-ish, when I stacked shelves for a week at a grocery store.

Lately, I've been curious about other things I *can* do, instead of what limits me.

I need to hear this as a late 20-something who's worried that if I haven't had a solid career since 18, my life is pointless.

It’s been known for a while that blackouts don’t work. Companies will literally just wait for it to be over and go back to business as usual. Go support the artists you like instead, that does SO much more

apparently some people want a "blackout" period on bsky where we don't post at all, because of the new vague and ridiculous 'nonconsent in art' rules.

Which is really stupid because then we're just being quiet about the things they /want/ us to be quiet about.
