They paid money to see a Husky game but all they could think about were those damn Mariners. 🔱

Their plan is to use (mostly Black) prisoners, cognitively disabled people and children to fill those jobs. All three groups can legally be paid less than minimum wage, so costs for employers won't go up. Keeps Black folks under control and keeps the other two groups out of school.

The Trump administration has been spreading anti-vaccine propaganda for months. Tonight, Trump's physician announced he just received a flu shot and a COVID booster.

Aren't macho presidents traditionally supposed to go survey these situations themselves? Is he too much of a snowflake to go to Portland in person to see what's really going on?

There's more, but you get the gist: Things are about to crash and burn, and when they do, it's going to be fast and ugly. Get ahead of it while you still have a chance, because it's not going to end anytime soon. I want as many of us as possible to survive this. Be realistic. Be smart. Be prepared.

Been putting off routine health-care stuff? Get it done now. Make sure you have as large of a supply of critical meds as you can get. And lay in plenty of other emergency supplies. If your area gets hit with a natural disaster or military action, help will be a long time coming, if it comes at all.

Be prepared for communication options to tank. Learn how to use a VPN. Get a couple of burner phones. Find ways to keep in touch with your communities that aren't social media or that could be blocked with cell service shutdowns.

If you're at all at risk of coming up on the regime's purge list soon, GTFO of the country if you can manage it. Trans folks and parents of Trans kids should already be on their way. If you can't leave the country, get to a blue state. If you can't do that, get to a blue metro and find community.

Lobby your blue-state govs and other officials to work together to do formal, united pushback. There is strength in numbers, and we'll also have more of a chance to do non-violent tactics like economic blockades.

As noted in point 4: I do NOT recommend any attempts at insurrection, armed or otherwise. They're going to militarize this anyway--they already are--but DO NOT try to go fight this shit on your own. We need helpers, not martyrs.

This isn't doomerism. It's just laying out the actual reality of the situation we're in: We have no civil means to remove this regime. The last shot we had at that was in November, and the shitwits who wouldn't vote for an icky girl gutted that chance.
