“the name the agency held until shortly after World War II” is very wrong. Only the Department of “the Army” was the Dept. of War. This would be renaming, not “going back” to a previous name. Not to mention it’s illegal to change it by EO but even if it wasn’t, DOD never had that name.

An election loser wants to win by disqualifying thousands of voters. How can you even find their ballots? Most of the votes challenged by Supreme Court candidate Jefferson Griffin weren't flagged when they were cast. So how would you actually match up the ballot with the voter? Aren't votes secret?

Okay, so let's say a North Carolina supreme court candidate succeeds in disqualifying thousands of voters who followed all of the rules they were given. How would you even be able to go back and find their ballots to see how they voted?

But there’s still no constitutional mechanism for filling vacancies in office of LG. Much like vice president of US, pre-25th amendment. If vacant, office just stays vacant. Only the power of “pres of Senate” passes to the pres pro tem, but not the title/office of LG.
