I’m safe, barring any changes to the proposal.
Still one of the most emotionally draining weeks I’ve had in a long time, and I feel pretty shitty that I get to keep the job and others don’t.

Update: My job is “at risk,” and management will evaluate three of us to decide who gets the condensed role by Wednesday. Very Hunger Games–esque.

First day back at work was surprisingly tolerable. Still, I’ve realised the stress-to-pay ratio is way off, so time to start job hunting!

Alarms are set for tomorrow and I’m once again struggling to accept that I need to do this for four decades. Either I win the lottery or my other half needs to start getting aggressively promoted. Donations also accepted.

Same experience in Thailand. Spent the entire time convinced that would be my end. Stepping back on to dry land felt like a miracle.

As someone who grew up in Hertfordshire, I also fully expect that behaviour from those arseholes (although some of us are ok!)

You should absolutely let him know - given he didn’t even apologise properly it will probably fall on deaf ears but he needs to know his behaviour is shitty! You deserve to be treated better than that!

I’ve got a set of Anton Studio Empire glasses, which are fairly decent (you can get them from John Lewis). Waterford glasses are normally quite nice as well and you can usually get a set for about £60
