I am delighted to just discover Puzzle Quest got a revitalization. With all the other big titles dropping this season i will defo play Puzzle Quest Immortal ed. for a good chunk of time.

Dodgeball. I was once on a terrible transatlantic flight (10ish hrs) and watching this on repeat got me through it. I’d seen it before, but this was when it became comfort food.

Yay! That said, it’s more fantastic as a result of the player’s input, rather than being more the input itself being better on a cerebral or physical level. One to simmer more on in the grey matter coffee pot.

You know when you have a game idea percolating for a long while and then something else comes out like it… I’ve had one of those darn it, but today I figured a more fantastic version.

Also installed another fan into my pc case and blew out all the day too. I figure it’s not going to reduce the overall heat output much, but anything to have a slightly cooler room thank you very much. 🥵

Rewatched Mission Impossible while it’s still on the big screen. Spotted two Easter eggs and, I think, an f bomb.

I’m also wondering if a fave film of mine, The Martian, would also work with this principle… coincidentally staring MD. Might.

Keen to watch The Bourne Identity Solo cut tonight. Basically the whole film but with only the parts Jason is in. Apparently it works. Consider me curious!

Highly enjoyed latest Mission movie. Definitely one for the DBOX chairs that move and judder. (Part 1 was… not great and they’ve more than made up for it)

It’s wonderful to see old school rally games launch and make a splash. Such fun. Amazing they’re by 1-person/ tiny colab teams.

I was always jealous of the better sound of the ST. Some of those games had banger music.

The game had an attract mode or perhaps the demo did? Anyhow, you’d see some running then a credit. Most of the time it seemed it was Roger Dean and so became a running joke between friends.

There’s a few, but the first meeting of the atlas in No Man’s Sky resonated on a primeval level.

It’s a mixed bag. I’m certainly proud of my work that ppl have directly called out and it’s sold buckets but also of satisfying work I’ve done in tucked away titles that see little light of day. I take pride in seeing the op to take an aspect or whole to 11 and achieving it.

Congrats! Now you know the bone harrowing fear of placing/clamping a cpu and the hope that it all works when you turn it on the first time. #AchievementUnlocked

I’ve also been busy in other adventures but what I was getting to was a)excited and b) various symphony orchestras do this kind of thing and it will lift you if you can find one doing a movie (OST) you love.

Joyously heading to the orchestral performance of Skyfall tonight. The delight of how good Star Trek was still lives with me. And the Who proms only stoked the fires more. Gonna be great!
