Oh no. I just saw a clip of Bryan Cranston talking about Breaking Bad and now I want to rewatch the series. Again. But I've never watched The Wire yet. Ok, fine. Wire first. Then Breaking Bad again.

'Twas the Night before Christmas (1974), How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966), A Christmas Story (1983), Frosty the Snowman (1969). I think that's it for every single year.

Every December I view It's a Wonderful Life (1946), Home Alone (1990), Die Hard (1988), A Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989), A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965), The Year without a Santa Claus (1974), Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (1970), White Christmas (1954)

I watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (1987) religiously every Thanksgiving. Other than that, it's Christmas that brings out the rewatching for me. And it's not just a few.

What I appreciate most about holiday movies is the occasion to rewatch. Not a lot of call to rewatch movies otherwise for me.

Considering newer movies to add to the holiday canon. My two additions from the last five years would be Greta Gerwig's Little Women (2019) and Alexander Payne's The Holdovers (2023). Any others?
