I was in 1st grade when they went to the WS in '91. The whole '90s was full of losing appearances. Lots of heartbreak, not unlike the Phillies the last decade or two!

Everyone has their faves and their loyalties. I certainly hated the Pats (and still kinda do). No one likes a dynasty except the fanbase. I say this as a someone who grew up in Georgia & was (still am) a Braves fan. I think the Eagles are still scrappy enough for wins not to feel predetermined.
