This is the most French situation imaginable.

Glad it had a happy outcome.

Never forget they don't want you healthy, they want you and, more especially, your children, to DIE!

...because the people who profit from millions of people in poverty with no viable dental provision would like to keep everything as it is, presumably.

We in Britain may have a free media but we are definitely not free of media ownership who really want everyone 100% distracted by 37,000 migrants.

As my late, great aunt would have said in a tone capable of freezing molten lava:

Not great.

The line I'd take is to truth bomb it - the reason for wanting to leave the ECHR has very little to do with curbing the rights of migrants, although it would, and a very great deal to do with removing the rights of every person in Britain. Something Deform would no doubt be very keen on.

Indeed.

Climate fixing is the most comprehensive strategic policy going.

The key political take is getting from today to the 2060s extracting maximum economic benefit from that strategic choice.

Triumph TR4 engine rebuilt in October 2025 in the workshop waiting to be re-fitted to a restored chassis.

Meanwhile, in Triumph TR4 restoration news, the engine rebuild is complete. Now where did I leave that new chassis?

Well if they carry on and get the government they want this problem will go away.

When their hero Garage gets rid of the NHS the herberts won't be able to afford to access healthcare ever again.

Fixed it for them.

Well it's all going on in Darkest Suffolk with our branch line replacement.

A hastily built level crossing had to be constructed because an emergency ambulance needed to get to 'our' side of the line. Good to see the rail guys contingency plan.

Roll-on Thursday.

The lack of self-awareness is off the scale, isn't it?

A course of 'first know how others see you' is long overdue.

Doing someone else's job is easy & could readily be done better/more efficiently until you actually try to do it yourself. Ask anyone who's got their boss's job after a retirement [or death in my case].

To do it at all is hard. To do it better nigh on impossible.

...as Deform are finding out.

Sinking to the level of [checks notes] Idi Amin.

I'm no fan of the Tories however, I suspect that you could never have laid that observation at the door of John Major or even The Awful Thatcher.

How the mighty are fallen.

This is what the BBC is really good at and unique in its ability to deliver.

Still functioning in parts, we need to get it back to where it was before the recent real-terms funding cuts and management placements from the BoJo era.

It's normally about now when the bloke from the Council turns-up and asks to see your planning permission documentation.

I'm sure all the protocols will have been followed to the letter by [checks notes] Donny T.

Reminds me of one of those 'Worst tenant ever' stories of landlords finally repossessing their totally trashed properties.

Death by a Thousand Red Tapes How Britainโ€™s bureaucracy stalls progress, and why real renewal means rethinking risk

An excellent piece by Zion here.

The assessment of the risk of inaction is rarely considered in development planning. It was something in the nuclear industry that we had to do when proposing modification to the plant or processes.

They clearly didn't live in the areas of the country or worked in the industries her policies destroyed.

I have formed the opinion that your views on her directly correlate with how prosperous your home town was in 1989 compared with 1979.

Mine went from comfortable to East European-level poverty.
