From 12 to about a million: A record of the first Filipinos in Canada For many, it may be old log records;Β but for Pass, it offers a glimpse into the lives of Canadians in the early 20th century and the lesser-known history of Filipinos in Canada.

This story aired a few weeks ago on OMNI News Filipino in Tagalog (with me subtitled: I know but two words of Tagalog); today there's an English digital version. I'm pleased to help make known some little-known stories of #cdnimm history! #cdnhist #bchist

Teachers don’t want robots to think for us or interact with students for us.

Teachers want time to effectively provide feedback, use our brains to develop engaging lessons, and build relationships and trust with our students.

Don’t try to β€œsell” us on outsourcing the best parts of education.

Among the many horrific things I have heard recently - I just discovered that Oak National has an AI lesson planning tool. But my absolute favourite bits are that a) it gets stuff wrong b) it suggests hilariously bad tasks and c) it's literally no help unless you already know the history
