Yes I think whilst some are clued up, plenty of teachers have never even open TikTok (understandably!)

We can do more and it would start with people accepting the issue. Unbelievable amount of so called "leaders" on twitter refusing to accept there is a problem. When people are saying it is the student's fault for being confused or misled then they are part of the problem. Actual teachers too.

I don't disagree either but I don't believe most teachers are really aware of the extent of what is going on. Unfortunately for me, TikTok thinks I am in Y11 so I see it constantly and it is bleak!

Companies are profiting (quite literally hundreds of thousands) by lying to kids saying they know what will come up. They are so misleading and under immense pressure, the most vulnerable students fall victim. Happy to share several videos/ads/accounts with you privately to show you.

We have heads of department labelling students as “stupid” for falling for these but the reality from a child’s perspective is this appears on their feeds over and over again. I see the same content and it is aggressive and persuasive. Predicting itself isn’t the issue, it’s the way it is presented.

I don’t think that is suggested at all. There is more to the article than the headline. Despite some maths teachers wanting to bury their head in the sand on this and deny it’s a problem, it is a huge issue. Guidance and advice from teacher is key but that coming directly from JCQ will help too.

😂 I've had hundreds of kids tell me to swear or put guns in the videos. I think they want to see it! Genuinely overwhelmed by the support. Several thousand comments tonight all stating that they are 15-16 years old. It's become a bit of a joke to start your comment with it! Kids are amazing. 💙

Thank you to everyone that has helped me get content out! Still GCSEFM to go but the main bits are done! I honestly could not get it done without the help. I also appreciate the support with my YT issue, which I am glad to say, was resolved today! Sadly I did not win the Euromillions. GL tomorrow.

Edexcel 3F. I will begin work on AQA but am evidently a bit behind schedule. My plan is to try and write both papers and give them you to tonight (well likely early hours) without a video. I will then try make videos on Monday/Tuesday.

Just asked ChatGPT for the average screentime of a teenager and it said 9 hours 16 mins. I asked it to clarify if that was a weekly figure and it says daily. WHAT.

Been busy working today on Edexcel 3F. I will definitely get that out tomorrow then work on AQA 3H. That will likely run into Monday (and foundation Tuesday).
