I have several of the Kaweco Sport types and they’re great. They fold up to half the size and fit snugly and discretely in any pocket.

RIP Diane Keaton
My favourite picture of her where everyone else is giving it their best Blue Steel & she looks like she’s just wandered in off the street looking super cool.
She was allowed to wear her own clothes & her wonderful personality shines out.
What a unique talent & human being.

Fun fact, to me anyway πŸ€“

Averil Deverell came of age pre-independence, being β€œpresented” to George V in St Patrick’s Hall, Dublin Castle, in 1911.

The first woman to practice at the Bar in Ireland, she did so … from St Patrick’s Hall, which served as the Law Library from 1923-31 #History #Heritage

Following the destruction of the Four Courts in June 1922, the State Apartments at Dublin Castle were fitted up as a temporary legal home.

What must Deverell have thought entering St Patrick’s Hall that 2nd time? From debutante to barrister in less than a decade.

The shocking waste in the clothes we wear With clothes consumption spiking across the developed world, new rules to tackle the resulting environmental damage are long overdue

β€œThe production of textiles generates between 5 and 10 per cent of the world’s greenhouse gases, which is more than air travel and shipping combined.”

Sorry to hear that. As an historian, I though it has much merit. Having to delete posts that ring uncomfortably too true is an indictment of our times.
