Remember this vote: the Lukashenka regime opposed the UN resolution demanding #Russia return abducted Ukrainian children. Not only is the regime complicit - some children were transferred to #Belarus - but this shows its total lack of independence from Moscow. Shameful.

Just think - even Putin rejected this totally pro-Russian, humiliating proposal. Curious to see whether his advisors or envoys will be fired. Oh, wait.

The Lukashenka regime is involved as well.

#Russia's tactics are painfully predictable: drag out time, sow confusion, pretend to "negotiate". The world needs to see - Russia isn't seeking peace. Its goal is a subdued, controlled Ukraine and a Europe kept under constant threat. That may be the minimum of its ambitions.

#Belarus jails another couple for politics. Stanislau Machalau received 4 years; Sviatlana Yakubovich - 5 years. He had already served 3 years as a political prisoner and was re-arrested a year later under new charges.

The regime never lets activists go.

That dignity floors me every time. Seeing it up close feels like a privilege - people who never chose this fate, but once thrown into it, walked through hell with strength, self-respect, bravery. Not heroic in the cinematic sense - heroic in the human sense. They held on.

#Belarus Lukashenka yet again proposed to Putin to hold negotiations on Ukraine in Minsk. The regime enabled the aggression against Ukraine despite the will of the people. Now Lukashenka wants to avoid responsibility.

Journalist Viachaslau Lazarau, who was forcibly taken out of #Belarus without a passport or release papers, has finally received his passport - sent to his mother's home in Viciebsk and then passed to him.

The regime throws people out without documents. Hard to call it mercy.

I'm perplexed by a comment from a Russian woman who opposes the war yet argues it's "better" to send murderers to the front instead of mobilized conscripts. She wants the war to end, but this logic shows how deeply warped and broken the moral landscape has become in Russia.

#Belarus Today Lavrov explicitly thanked Lukashenka for helping #Russia in the war against Ukraine. He specified peace talks but it's also clear that the regime in Minsk became a war enabler. I hope that's a reminder of accountability.

According to CBS News, #Ukraine government had "agreed to a peace deal" brokered by the Trump administration, with only "minor details" to settle. But no word from Russia.

Twice overnight, unidentified balloons forced Vilnius Airport to halt operations. Navigation systems detected possible contraband balloons from #Belarus. At least 5 flights were canceled, others delayed or diverted. The Lukashenka regime doesn't stop its provocations.

This isn't peace. It's the celebration of aggression and power - the idea that violence pays and that those who are attacked should bear the consequences. Any plan built on rewarding the aggressor and weakening the victim doesn't stop wars. It ensures they return.

Worse, it actively enables future aggression. The aggressor is rewarded with territory it failed to capture, freed from sanctions, and given time to rebuild its military. The victim, meanwhile, is asked to accept restrictions, losses, and risks that undermine its own security.

This plan doesn't guarantee the end of the war - because it doesn't require Russia to withdraw its troops or weapons, doesn't limit Moscow's ability to rearm, and doesn't establish any real security guarantees for #Ukraine. It pauses fighting without addressing the cause of it.

#Belarus Lukashenka “pardons” 31 Ukrainian citizens - people his regime had no right to imprison in the first place. Minsk now frames basic decency as a political gesture “at the request of the Ukrainian side.” Another reminder: hostage diplomacy is not mercy.
