It gets funnier when you find out this was one of the straws that broke Penders' back when SEGA wanted a Shadow Adaptation (though it was understandable frustration as it was in short notice and they sent no materials on what they were even supposed to do for the story).

What a weird guy.

I say weakest upon having seen the various pieces of art the assistants contributed to bonus pages, & Ikemoto's the one that I will charitably say stood out the least in terms of style when not mimicking Kishimoto's style.

It's actually fairly interesting to look at... not the art, but the choices that led to this. Ikemoto was one of Kishimoto's several assistants, but was by far the weakest of them. But I guess he could get the closest to Kishimoto's style at a fast enough rate?
