Through the Inclusive Smart Solutions programme, we worked with partners and tenants to co-design a retrofit business model that protects households from extra costs while giving housing providers a practical, scalable solution. The result? A model that delivers social value alongside carbon savings

At Changeworks, we believe the journey to net zero must be fair. Retrofitting social housing is a chance to cut carbon, tackle fuel poverty, and create warmer, healthier homes but only if tenants are at the heart of the process.

Climate Change Committee’s Carbon Budgets response The Climate Change Committee’s advice on carbon budgets lays bare the challenge of improving the energy efficiency of Scottish homes.

Changeworks recently commented on the Climate Change Committee’s advice for Scotland carbon budgets to 2045, which highlighted the need to support households to install low carbon heating and home insulation:

The Heat in Buildings Bill is a crucial step toward net zero in Scotland, tackling one of the biggest sources of emissions: heating our homes.

Changeworks appoints new board members Changeworks has appointed Selina Sagayam and Michael Covington to its board.

Together, they will help us achieve our strategic goal of supporting 180,000 households to install and manage low-carbon energy efficiency measures by 2030 – potentially reducing emissions by 3 tonnes of CO₂ per home, per year.
