They're definitely beautiful -- I have a growing appreciation for all of these types of plants (I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, so I love discovering all of the plants that grow here in Southern California and the Southwest).

Started tagging things in my schedule as "fun". Today, I went for a nice run, and then we walked to get some coffee and browse music at the local record shop. This stuff gets lost at times, so perhaps this is a way to be more appreciative. #productivity #freelance

I've found that it often times pays off to procrastinate.

Such a beautiful day. Have the window open, listening to the birds sing, and letting some of the warm air into the house. There's something about this time of year, sound carries differently, or the light is different. Not sure what it is, just pleasant. #sandiego

The weekend was spent slamming through a project for a client. Things are mostly there, and now I'm in the phase where I'm making small fixes and adjustments. This is my favorite phase. The tasks are small but impactful, and I can cross off quite a few in the span of an afternoon. #freelance

Sometimes there is some miraculous productivity hack to solve the problem of having too much to do. Sometimes there's just actually too much work.

I guess part of me likes this time of year, when the sun sets at the end of my workday and the trees out my window are cast in yellow light as the birds sing and chirp.

Nothing some loud music and caffeine can't solve.

I really need to get out and hike around in the trees somewhere...
