I dunno. I'm just guessing as to what their actual reasons are, not endorsing their decision.

It could just be where their bigger following is. If you came to Bsky for the lack of restrictions and just weren't reaching as big of an audience as Insta, then it might just not be worth maintaining the one worse reach when the rules homogenize.

I also know a lot of people have problems with Patreon, so I'm open to any discussions on what donation services work better.

i'm against the new TOS because no matter how uncomfortable you are with certain subjects, it's very easy to see how bad-faith interpretations of art could be weaponized, especially against marginalized artists, who are more likely to be targeted for harassment

The scary thing is that the cited comments aren't really about CK's death. They're about the media's mad dash to make him look like a liberal to "score cheap political points." If that's what they find disrespectful to Kirk, then any statement about him could hypothetically fit the bill.

Seriously. They're saying that a good option to write a first draft is to give your money to someone whose only solution to the energy requirements of his invention is a friggin' Dyson Sphere that won't be built for millenia at the earliest.

This feels... wrong. I get people saying they need help getting this going, but there are a million free options if you're looking for prompts and starters that don't involve corporate theft machines.

It'd be great if they did, but considering the US has been going against the UN, NATO, and the ICC on basically every statement lately, I'm really worried that they won't care about this one.
