So sad to hear to hear that Christopher Bidmead has died. The man who helped put Doctor Who back on track in Season 18 and wrote three terrific DW stories himself in Logopolis, Castrovalva, and Frontios. Exchanged a good few tweets with him over the years and he seemed a class act. R.I.P.

I finish Joe Hill’ NOS4A2. Far too long and if it was a horror novel it was of the PG variety. Some good tense moments in it but the horror was just not that scary or indeed horrifying while the ending was just plain unsatisfying. This will not be on my list of books to read again.

Rewatching, and reading the novelisations, of Tom Baker’s first season as the Doctor. Robot is a lot of fun but The Ark in Space is top tier Doctor Who. I wish the current show was a quarter as good as this.
